The Lodge was built in 1936 on 2-1/2 acres with beautiful mountain views, graced by over three hundred Spruce & Ponderosa Pine trees, and surrounded by a grove of scrub oak and lilac bushes. The log cabin, built in 1909, and stone cottage, built in 1938, are on their own private property, also with mountain views, just down the street from the Lodge. Relax in the outdoor hot tub and take in the foothill mountains by day and western stars by night. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace or out on the terrace in the evenings, while nibbling on the decadent evening dessert. And, come with an appetite for the spectacular 3-course breakfast served each morning. At this Colorado bed & breakfast, the Lodge has a huge great room with 16 foot ceilings, oak floors, knotty pine walls, and a massive rock fireplace. The decor consists of stout pine and leather furniture, antler chandelier light fixtures, and "Prince Albert," the prize 7-point elk. The Lodge also has a butler's pantry, where guests can help themselves to coffee, tea, cocoa, cider, and other goodies 24 hours a day. Also available 24 hours a day in the butler's pantry is a guest refrigerator and microwave.
