| The House of Tricks opened in 1987 in a small 1920's cottage just 1&1/2 blocks off the hustle and bustle of Mill Avenue in Downtown Tempe. The house has a cozy interior with twelve tables and an old stone fireplace built with local river rock. An outdoor patio incorporates a canopy of grapevines and the ambiance of a residential neighborhood.In 1994, the house next door was purchased and restored to its turn-of-the-centuryfeel. This brick and adobe styled house was originally built in 1903. The inside was just recently renovated in order to accommodate more seating and larger parties. In addition to the restaurant and bar, Tricks continues its' original mission as a catering company for corporate and private events, both on and off premise. Tricks will even open its doors on Sundays for the occasional weddings and receptions.
