| The Phoenix Ski Club is much more than just skiing. We're a year-round, non-profit, volunteer-run social and outdoor activities organization with a variety of events designed to appeal to just about everybody. The Club has grown a lot since it's beginning in 1948, when it consisted of a few hardy souls carpooling the 8 to 10 hour drive to the rope tow at Flagstaff. In fact, the history of the Club is really a history of skiing in Arizona.Now, with about 400 members, the Club runs ski trips each winter all over the Western US and Canada. We even go to Europe or other exotic destinations in conjunction with the Far West Ski Association. In addition to skiing, you'll find us hiking, white water rafting, bicycling, house boating, canoeing, 4-wheel driving, touring the wine country, taking in the theatre, whooping it up at musical events, water skiing, and just socializing.
