| Arrowhead Desert Tours was started a quarter of a century ago by Tom, "Pay dirt" De Stories. After years of prospecting with a pick and shovel, "Pay dirt" made a gold strike on the Agua Fria River, north of Phoenix. The Arizona Department of Mines and Minerals has recognized its' authenticity and listed Pay dirt's deposit in it's official mining archives as "The De stories Gold Placer." The United States government has included "Pay dirt" gold claim in the newly created Agua Fria National Monument.
