Description
Take off your watch, put on your comfy clothes, and leave that hectic life behind at School House Inn. Spend some time bird watching or reading on the inn's shaded patio, or nap in the double hammock on the hill. Watch the stars twinkle from the balcony. Sleep with the curtains blowing in the fresh mountain air, then wake to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a delicious hot breakfast. Sound good so far? There's more....School House Inn was selected "Best Place to Stay in Southern Arizona" by Arizona Republic News. It is recommended by Frommer, Mobile Travel Guide, Arizona's Historic Escapes, and Sunset, Arizona Highways, and Biz AZmagazines.School House Inn is a historic brick school built in 1918 at the height of Bisbee's mining days. Located high in the west end of Tombstone Canyon, in a scenic Old Bisbee neighborhood, the inn is a perfect getaway. Originally built as Garfield School to accommodate grades one through four in four large classrooms, the school was converted into apartments in the 1940's. In 1989, it became a Bed and Breakfast Inn. Copies of the original school blueprints can be viewed in the main stairway.
