| The Guest House was originally built in 1925 by Phelps Dodge Corporation to accommodate visiting company officials. The Company spared no expense in furnishing and maintaining the stately guest quarters. After mining operations ceased in Ajo, the house was abandoned until 1988 when it was purchased by the Walker family, longtime Ajo residents. The property has been renovated, refurnished and opened to the public as The Guest House Inn, a Bed & Breakfast establishment.
