| Description |
| Originally homesteaded by A.J. Swanson in the early 1900's, this land was purchased by the Federal Government to be included in Roosevelt's New Deal Colony Settlement.Johan Johnson drew the farm in the colony lottery in 1935. The farm was used for hay and small crops. In the late 60's the farm was converted and used as one of the Valley's prized Dairy Farms. In 1955, Bob and Merlie McCombs purchased the farm. Along with Joe and Myrtle Giaslson they operated the dairy, housing approximately 100 head, for about 6 years. The bed and breakfast is in fact the old dairy barn. In 1986 the farm and barn was transformed into an Inn by Don Tanner, otherwise known as Yukon Don. The inn operated under the name Yukon Don's BandB Inn for 16 years. In 2001, the Inn was purchased by Ellen Kane and Leny and Shannon Cullip (your hosts). The name was changed to honor the original settlers and the outstanding view of Pioneer Peak.
