| We have been giving guests the retreat of their life for 13 years. Once again, we have newly remodeled our guests rooms and common area. The Beary Patch has a wonderful reputation for excellence in cleanliness, comfort, decor, and of course mouth-watering breakfasts. Our guests assure me that our inn is equal to any five star hotel experience! We love serving people. We are the only bed and breakfast in Homer that serves a three course breakfast fit for the heartiest of appetites. We make every morsel right here in our humble kitchen. Home-made breads, waffles, muffins, jams, crepes, quiche', Alaskan Stratta, and much, much more! Why would you want to have plan ole' food? We offer fresh eggs, meats, specially prepared fruits, and mmmm....fresh ground Homer's finest coffee (Captain's Coffee).Homer is a delightful community. We have a wonderful patchwork of people with different beliefs, arts, culture, and work here. The Pratt Museum is very small, but don't be fooled. It is in the top two hundred in the nation! Many awards have been won for its exhibits. We accommodate every personality in our hamlet. We have the diversity of a large city, only much much smaller. Homer has accommodated fishermen many for many decades. Yes, these hearty men were our first clients. However, about five years ago we were discovered, so to speak. Other folks, other than fishermen drove "to the end of the road"! (Famous saying about Homer, by Tom Bodet.) The word spread quickly about our beautiful, prestine hamlet by the sea. Now folks from all over the world come to relax and enjoy our uniqueness.
