| Gold Star Plantation has been in operation for nine years and thanks to our customers, we expect this year to be another great one. The preserve season runs from October 1, 2004 through March 31, 2005 and we are open seven days a week.Many improvements have been made over the summer. Feed plots of peas, millet and soybeans have been planted. We have opened up and expanded the hunting areas for easier access. Our shooting preserve of 500 acres can easily accommodate more than one party at a time.Gold Star is located approximately 35 minutes from Birmingham in western Jefferson County. This makes Gold Star convenient to residents of Jefferson, Shelby, Chilton, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Cullman, Bibb and Blount Counties. We have accommodated hunters from Alaska to Florida.
