| Langford Farms is comprised of about 2000 acres. It is made up of about 650 acres of cropland, 240 acres of open pasture land, 400 acres of wooded pasture land, 666 acres of primarily hardwood forests and about 50 acres of swampland. This land is privately owned and no more than two people had hunted it since 1980, my wife and I, until 1996, which was our first year of commercial operation. We also hunt about 4000 acres of additional property, including river bottoms, wooded pasture and cropland, that is owned by other farmers in the area that work with us.This brings our total hunting area to around 6000 acres. We plant crops specifically for the wildlife on all the farms. During the summer, we plant corn, soybeans, sunflowers, peas and chuffas. Each fall we will have about 500 acres of green fields, consisting of wheat, oats and clover.
